Prerequisite: 


Class Description - This course will cover the following four advanced topics: Time Management (4 hours), Management of Volunteers (8 hours), Resource Management (4 hours) and Media Relations (4 hours).   All topics are level 400 requirements.

Domestic Violence Train-the-Trainer

Prerequisite: 


Class Description - This course will provide in-depth information about Domestic Violence, Assessing Lethality, Strangulation, Stalking, Domestic Violence and Children, Firefighter/EMT Personnel Involved in Domestic Violence Events, Proper Response, Surviving Violence, Victim Assistance Exercise, Community Mapping, Orders of Protection, Chaplains and Domestic Violence and Role Play Exercises. This course will prepare certified chaplains to teach a four-hour Domestic Violence class to their respective department.

Essentials of Emergency Service Chaplaincy

Prerequisite:


Class Description -This course provides the foundation for Fire/Rescue/EMS chaplain service and teaches an established and credentialed system of protocols in order to provide chaplaincy to emergency service workers and the public. This class provides the initial requirement for Basic Chaplain Certification for the Tennessee Federation of Fire Chaplains. 


Instructor:  Taught by combined academy faculty. 


NOTE:  Participants must be members of FFC to get course credit.
